Overview
After receiving positive feedback from the Wonder Girls workshops presented to young women during the 2018- 2019 school year, YWCA Hamilton developed additional workshops with the objective of further exposing young women to careers in the skilled trades and technical fields. These workshops can be incorporated into your lesson plans or presented in career studies courses. The following workshop overviews are accompanied by PowerPoint presentations which can be accessed on the accompanying USB drive in the folder entitled ‘Workshops’. Additional supplementary materials (video clips of women in the trades and technology and brochures of local mentors) can also be found in the online package and accompanying USB drive. YWCA Hamilton is also open to presenting these workshops to HWDSB and HWCDSB students as a workshop series.f
